Why did we create More To Adorn?
Because plus-sized women deserve jewelry that fits!
For many women, living in a world that is always judging us based on how we look and what box (or literal measurements) we fit into, amongst many other things, is exhausting. It takes a lot of bravery and self-love to walk into a room and just be who we are, and exude confidence and authenticity. Even after the battle of learning how to dress for our body type and figuring out what to wear, we still might not feel our best but for some of us, popping on a few accessories just might spark a little more confidence and shift our attitude to take on whatever the day brings. It’s a funny little thing that happens, but those of us who know - know. #iykyk
But here is the rub. The fashion industry in general has figured out that plus sizes (while we can just be honest and call them “real” sizes) are a real thing. Some figured it out way sooner than others and launched lines specifically for this market, while others are trying to catch up and add sizes to their catalog to complete. Hey, we’ll take it and it is great for us - but there is still work to do here.
What about the Accessories?
If I could target my where my plus size "applies" to just one place, trust me, I would, but that is not how any of this works. My plus, and many others out there, is distributed to various places, including the hands, wrists, and neckline. That means that typical ring, bracelet, and necklace size ranges might cause problems for us.
Spoiler Alert. They do.
According to "the Google", average woman's ring size is 7- 9 across most fingers on the hand but if we look at the beautiful plus-sized market, we will see that the average for women in this community is more like 9-12. There are just not many options available to us in fashion accessories, that are not fine jewelry or custom-made products.
