The Triple Threat: Hoodie - High Pony- Hoops

The Triple Threat: Hoodie - High Pony- Hoops

Listen,  I’m a busy working mama. I’ve got stuff to do. Always.

When I am not working or sleeping, I am mom-Uber-ing someone to their after-school responsibilities or to friends' houses to hang out, running to Walgreens or someone’s drive-thru, or going to pick up my online grocery order that will for sure result in me questioning that there is seriously no bread anywhere in the store (I call BS on that). My point is, I don’t have time to go full GLAM every day.

That’s not my reality.

Some days my reality is more like do I have pants on? Check. Do I have a shirt on? Check. Ok. We are in good shape. On other days I have just enough time and energy to get to what I like to call:

“Presentable +”

You know that is when you are dressed for people not related to you and then you give just a little something to elevate. That’s why I love accessories so much. And on my laziest of days, I turn to my favorite triple threat to get me there.

The Hoodie, High Pony*, and Hoops. You’ve seen it. It’s a classic. It works every time. *Note that the "High Pony" can be substituted with whatever your hair style is of choice is when you don't have time for nonsense. Examples: Messy bun, a head tie covering all or some of your hair, a headband or one of my good friend's favorites - the sunglasses as a headband trick.  Whatever works for you will do.

Headed out to watch my kid perform in the holiday recital. Am I in full glam? Absolutely not. But I don’t look like somebody’s hungover auntie either. And I feel good about that.

How to achieve this look?
1. Put on your hoodie
2. Put your hair up (if it’s long enough), if not, do you.
3. Put those hoops in and go!

*Make up efforts today were a light layer of powder foundation (MAC Studio Fix), a simple black eyeliner and of course my lips are fully glossed with my trusty chapstick. Keep it simple if you need to.
